10 Natural Home Remedies for Menstrual Cramps



Cramps from monthly menstruation is called dysmenorrhea, although is not a usual sign of having a serious condition toward woman's health still this brings discomfort in your life.

Natural Remedy for Menstrual Cramps.

1. Basil- a very effective herb for mitigating cramps from menstrual pain. It has analgesic or pain- killing ability.

Note: In one cup of boiling water add one tablespoon of basil leaves. Allow it to cool then drink it every after 2 hours to ease cramps.

2. Blackstrap Molasses- it is rich in calcium, iron , potassium, vitamin B6 and other minerals that help soothe muscles of the uterine wall that lessen cramps.

Note : mix one to two teaspoons of blackstrap molasses to a cup of warm milk then drink.

3. Chamomile tea- its antispasmodic contraction to lessen the pain.

Note: pour the boiling water into a cup containing a chamomile tea bag then cover and let it rest for 10minutes.

4. Cinnamon- has antispasmodic characteristic that remove the pain of menstruation.

Note: stir 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder in cup of hot water. Add a little honey in a cup of hot water. Add a little honey and let it sit for 3 minutes. Drink two cups of the tea before the start of your monthly period to avoid cramps.

5. Fennel-the phytoestrogenie, anti -inflammatory and antispasmodic properties help relax uterus muscles which relieves discomfort.

6. Flaxseed - the fatty acid it produces help stabilize the process of making progesterone. Flaxseeds help treat infertility issue.

Note: consume two tablespoons of flaxseed daily to lessen your suffering from menstruation cramps.

7. Ginger - this wonder herb lower down the pain that cause by prostaglands. It helps lessen fatigue due to premenstrual syndrome. It can regularize period.

Note: grate a small amount of ginger and boil it for 5 minutes. Strain and add a little honey and lemon juice. Drink the tea 3 times daily.
